10 Factors You Need To Consider When Buying A New Quadcopter Drone With Camera
Powered By- www.greatdronereviews.com
So, do you want to pick up drones as a cool new interest? If you are looking for the best quadcopters with camera, and maybe you need to use them for business, however, you don’t realize how to go about it, right? Well, relax. Let’s go through the factors you have to consider before reaching for your wallet.
Buying a drone isn’t a challenge you should do light-headed. No matter how inexpensive it is, it still is an investment, and all of us want to have the satisfactory bang for our buck. The best affordable product our budget can buy. To do so, there are a couple matters we need to consider. Not all drones are appropriate drones. Not all specifications are viable specifications.
Not all features are beneficial features. Before buying a quadcopter, you have to consider the following features-
- Battery Life
- Budget
- Camera Quality
- Live Feed
- Controllable Range
- Quality of Material
- Design/Features
- Height and Speed
- Replacement Options
- Drone Registration
1. Battery Life
Battery life is the most important factor to consider. When you’ll fly a quadcopter the last thing you want is for your drone to be dead within minutes of use. There are a few considerations focusing on battery life.
Battery life-
Some copters can fly for 6-7 minutes and others 10-12 minutes earlier than needing to be grounded and recharged. You must recognize how long your battery will last before buying quadcopter.
Replacement batteries–
Whether for a spare that may be used when a battery has died or simply if a battery is no longer retaining the charge, replacement batteries are very essential. So, determine if replacement batteries are available and where you can purchase them.
Charging time-
Flying a drone for 5 minutes having to charge it again for 2 hours just to play with it 5 more minutes, may sound discouraging. Many drone models will take 2 hours to recharge, so keep this in mind.
2. Budget
Drones supposed for personal and recreational purposes can go for less than $100, while those intended for business or other specialized tasks can cost in the hundreds of thousands.
But, it’s really important to note that beginners may discover it frustrating to learn how to fly inexpensive drones because they lack some of the functions that make flying simpler. For example, the toy-grade drones lack GPS; an important function that guarantees stable flight for filming.
Because drones can be prone to crashing, you have to remember to leave room in your budget for any important maintenance or repairs.

Because drones can be prone to crashing, you have to remember to leave room in your budget for any important maintenance or repairs.
3. Camera Quality
Whether you are an amateur photographer or a novice film-maker you must need the best camera quality in your quadcopter. The drone camera type available is a major consideration. While some models come with their own digital camera, others will need a product like a GoPro attached to them. Ideally, you will select a model that comes with its own built-in camera because built-in cameras are lighter than most other cameras and they are often more functional.
Other features you need to consider-
- The video resolution ( HD 1080p will be much better )
- How many megapixels the camera is
- The distance of the camera
- Whether or not the camera angle must be controlled
- So, if you plan on taking video or photos while flying your quadcopter, you may
- want a camera which is more suitable for your desires.
4. Live Feed
Live feed of the video that is being taken isn’t always available with all drones. In reality, quadcopter cameras which have live feed are more expensive but worth every penny. The feed will go over wi-fi and can be transmitted to a variety of devices.
Usually, the feed can be either given to a computer, tablet or smart-phone. Live feed may also be available right on the controller that is the great choice for accurate flying. When there isn’t a live feed present, videos are frequently stored on an SD Card or flash drive. That means unique videos may be virtually not possible to take for professional purposes.
Controllers which have an LCD display will often have a feed that is sent and allows you to see what the digital camera is shooting in real-time. If your main purpose is to take aerial videos at parties or of live news for the channel, this may be the most important factor of all.

5. Controllable Range
The range that you can control the quadcopter is very essential. Many only work with a remote distance of 30m. This is the farthest you’ll be able to control the drone with remote function. The more expensive models will have a further range available.
6. Quality of Material
This is one of the factors your budget may have a greater impact on. Low-price, toy-rated drones, are often not very long lasting. Its material ranges from ABS plastic to ordinary plastic, while higher-cost drones are manufactured from fiber glass and carbon. However, there are some companies who manufacture low-cost drones supposed to resist most medium crashes. Yeah, I’m talking about products from DJI, Parrot and WLToys. Check our articles and see what drones these companies need to provide. One thing we can assure, it’s going to much more long lasting than others.
7. Features
Auto-landing? Auto-go back? GPS? Perhaps automatic pre-programmed flights? There’s a huge variety of beneficial and fun features available out there.
The high-end models are now being provided with GPS capability, which allows the quadcopter to adjust for the wind or even call the helicopter back to its base. Usually, quadcopter designs are most utilized because they allow for refined control and stability while flying. Weight and dimensions also be a factor to consider. The heavier a copter, the greater power it’ll need to fly. But, heavier models generally do better when blasts of wind are present.

8. Height and Speed
If you have a drone that is supposed for taking live-action video during a baseball game, you may want to reach a height of 320 feet or so that you can capture the whole baseball field. But, if you are flying only for fun, 120 feet may also qualify.
Speed is another consideration. Usually, the speed of a drone may be 12 – 15 miles per hour. But, as stated before, you’re limited to the range of your controller. Speed may be a consideration if you want to take video of sport’s games, such as football, baseball or you want to follow your child as they run through the open field to make a family video.

9. Replacement Options
When acquiring a brand new drone, and if you intend on taking it anywhere and do lots of flights with it, ultimately you’ll need to replace some parts. Some models will not allow for an easy replacement that means they’re definitely useless if anything breaks or damaged.
As an alternative, you need to make sure that you can purchase good enough replacement parts which are easily installed.
The most common replacements are-
- Propellers that have been damaged
- Batteries that have lost their ability to charge
- Gears that have worn in the propellers
- In case you come across a particularly hard to find hardware, contact us and I’ll
- email you the solution.
10. Drone Registration
According to US Federal Aviation administration a person who wants to fly any unmanned. Remote-controlled aircraft that weighs between 250 grams and more or less 25 kilograms has to sign up with the agency. But, it’s very important to note that all toy drones weigh less than 250 grams. Civil penalties for failing to do this can lead up to fines that can cross as high as $27,500. In the case of criminal penalties, one can receive a fine of up to $250,000 and/or 3 years in prison!
So, who want to get in trouble? It’ll cost you only $5 to register on line. You are expected to preserve your drone below 400 feet and more than 5 miles away from any airport.
So, who want to get in trouble? It’ll cost you only $5 to register on line. You are expected to preserve your drone below 400 feet and more than 5 miles away from any airport.
The law in Australia and the UK is much softer with only those using the drones for business purposes expected to register.
These are all my drone-buying guides for the beginners. All these factors you have to consider very carefully before purchasing the best quadcopter with camera. Now you know the most important factors of buying a drone, choose wisely and if you have any doubt or suggestion leave a comment. Happy flying!

Parrot Bebop Quadcopter Drone Review
Powered By- www.greatdronereviews.com
So, you’re looking for the best quadcopter with camera. You have plenty of options, but which of these quadcopters are the best?
If you’re inside the marketplace for a new drone, I’ll help you make the best choice based on your desires so that you can select the high-quality drone for yourself. unlike all the other drone review sites you might see, we’re one of the only homemade website still around.
Parrot is a well-known name in the drone industry, and their Bebop drone is just as cool as its name. One of the best drones from Parrot is the Bebop. This is supposed to sit down between professional level drones and toys.
As light as a feather and equipped with a built-in HD digital camera, the Parrot Bebop Drone is prepared for adventure. Designed to fly built-in overall safety both indoors and outdoors, the Parrot Bebop Drone comes with absolutely virtual image-stabilization technology. It takes clear photographs while flying, no matter how it is moving.
Here are some key features of Parrot Bebop Quadcopter Drone-
-
Cruise at your own pace and return home automatically
-
Easily updates to meet FAA requirements
-
Control your experience with our Free Flight 3 app (iOS, Android, Windows 8.1)
-
Take clear photos and videos using advanced 3-axis image stabilization
-
Fly farther and faster with quick charging Lithium ion batteries (included)
-
Explore the world in 14 megapixels full HD 1080p and capture any vista with Bebop’s 180° field of view
Return Home
When ‘Return Home’ is selected the Bebop drone returns directly to its starting position when the altitude is greater than 10 meters. If the altitude is less or equal to 10 meters, it will rise and stabilize itself at 10 meters before returning to its take-off position in a straight line. Once it has reached its take-off position, it will stop and hover 2 meters above the ground.
Embedded GPS with Flight Map control
Thanks to the integrated GPS, control your Bebop drone directly on the map: plan your flights on your smartphone and let your drone do the rest!
Accurate GPS localization: around 2 meters with the GNSS chip and tracking with the Glonass satellite. Save over 350 flights and watch them in 3D with the Parrot Cloud thanks to the altitude and speed data collected.
Flight Plan will be available as an in-app Freeflight 3 purchase.
Parrot Bebop Drone generates its own Wi-Fi hotspot
MIMO Wi-Fi connection: Parrot Bebop Drone embarks 2 dual-band Wi-Fi antennas that allow it to handle both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz MIMO frequencies. It generates its own Wi-Fi 802.11 network. Depending on the network interference, you can select the frequency of your choice.
Stabilized full HD 1080p video
Thanks to algorithms developed by Parrot engineers, the Bebop Drone benefits from an exclusive 3-axis image stabilization system that maintains a fixed angle of the view regardless of the inclination of the drone and its movements caused by wind turbulence
180° vision controlled by the pilot
The pilot can control the angle of the camera directly in the piloting application with a simple movement of the thumb. The horizontal movement on an 180° angle is fully digital and does not affect your drone’s movements.
Parrot Cloud
Keep track of all your flights and share your photos, videos and navigation data with other members of the Parrot Cloud. Share your data with the community while you are connected to YouTube and Facebook. Join the Parrot Cloud with over 150,000 registered pilots. Enjoy free backup of your flight data and 3D replay.
I think the vastly polarized reviews on the Bebop, ultimately come down to expectations and if people are willing to put in the effort to go online and read the online manual. I bought the Bebop as a replacement to a cheaper camera-equipped quadcopter from China that had a motor burn out within a week. I had so much fun flying the cheaper version that I wanted something a little more stable and easier to fly and capture video, but I wasn’t willing to shell out over a grand for a DJI Phantom yet. I can say that I am really happy with the Bebop for the price point, it does exactly what I need/want it to do. Is it the absolute best, no, but I also knew that when I bought it for $300 less than a comparable DJI Phantom Vision.
Pros
- Comes with two batteries and extra propellers
- Easy to fly (although I highly recommend reading online manual, waiting for GPS lock outside, and calibrating often)
- GPS stabilization and features
- Great quality video and pictures for the price (1080p and 14mpx) – the software image stabilization is pretty impressive
- Real-time FPV from the camera
- Price point is excellent for a GPS drone with HD video camera
- So far it has been extremely durable (hit a house and fell 2 stores, hit a wall, and hit a tree… all pilot error)
- Easy to pull media off of the drone (either over wifi to an iPad or via USB to Mac) and immediately edit and share videos via iMovie
- Item weight only 3 pounds, very comfortable to carry.
Cons
- On-screen controls can be a little bothersome as they just aren’t as responsive as joysticks
- Limited to range of WiFi on device (using Ipad Air 2 currently and can get about 75yds away and 10yds up) and takes a little bit of time to reconnect (best if you forget your home WiFi network so it doesn’t automatically connect to that if the Bebop signal drops)
- Recharge time takes 1 hour!
Final Word
The Parrot Bebop drone is lots of fun. it is easy to fly using the phone app and captures clean, smooth photos to its on-board storage with every flight. But, battery life lasts for around 10-minutes per charge – thankfully there is a spare battery in the box to double that – which isn’t as strong as some competitors, such as the DJI Phantom. range-sensible, for those who need to fly in terms of kilometers rather than a couple of hundred meters, you will want to shell out more money for this spectacular version. The overall fact is, for everyone who wants to dabble with a drone in their nearby region, I think the Bebop is a fine example. it’s strong enough to take a beating from less experienced fliers, fun enough to keep you coming back for more, and versatile enough to appeal to more pro-level customers.

The DJI Phantom 2 vision+ is, absolutely, the great fully assembled drone we analyzed. The Phantom 2 vision+ sets the industry standard in many unique classes. Most significantly, live HD video streams right from the camera directly to your smart phone. You can also program autonomous flights for your quadcopter to follow, which also takes away from the worry of having to always keep your drone stable while in the air. Other quadcopters are capable of this same type of video streaming, however, they require complex installation procedures. Nothing compares to the ease-of-use, reliability, and high-quality system of the DJI Phantom 2 vision+.So, every DJI competitor is desperately trying to replicate what DJI has accomplished right here.
